Luca was born on november 5, 1983. He first picked up a classical guitar at the age of 11, in order to imitate his brother "I just wanted to do what my brother did" Luca says "I'd never believed I could have taken to playing". When he was 12 he received as a Christmas present his first electric guitar and began to listen to rock music. Thanks to his sister, he got to know Guns'n'Roses and he was taken aback by their energy. "Slash's guitar sounded fucking heavy... the first guitar - solos I learned were his ones. Slash has been my first guitar - hero". But soon another guitar hero would have become an integral part of Luca's life. In March 1996 he went to New York with his parents to visit Sammy Fasolino (a family friend) and met his son, who used to sing in a rock band. Before leaving Luca was given a present by his new american friend. It was the album Odissey by Yngwie J. Malmsteen. As soon as Luca was back home he listened to it and was stupefied by Yngwie's playing. "I could scarcely believe my ears!! Malmsteen's songs were so cool and his guitar solos simply incredible!!! I'd never heard anything of the sort. After a few months I had all of Yngwie's albums. I was fascinated not only by his music but also by his personality: his clothes, his way of moving on the stage, putting the guitar on his arm... He's had a great influence on my life and I will always thank him for this!". At the age of 16 Luca at last succceded in forming his first band called "High Definition". It was an instrumental neoclassical band. Unfortunately, after just three months, the band split up. From that very moment Luca started to wonder off Malmsteen's style. He took up studying jazz - harmony and found out guitarists such as Mike Stern, Steve Morse, Allan Holdsworth, and many others... In June 2001, at the age of 17, he formed a symphonic - prog metal band called "Eternal Flames". After various line - up changes Eternal Flames turned into Stamina and new elements coming from different musical styles (hard rock, fusion, blues, etc.) became part of Luca's songs, according to his musical growth. Nowadays Luca is still studying guitar tecnique and musical theory and at the same time he's studying English and Spanish at the University.
